Landstown RB picks UMass.(Sports) - The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA)

Landstown running back Jordan Broadnax has committed to play football at the University of Massachusetts .

Broadnax, 5-foot- 10 and 175 pounds, rushed for 878 yards and nine touchdowns and was second-team All-Beach District this past season.

'I want to major in sports management,' Broadnax said. 'And they are in the top three in the nation when it comes to that. Plus my family will get a chance to see me play when we come to ODU.'

Broadnax, who also plays defensive back, said he wanted to choose a school that would let him play on offense.

Broadnax chose UMass after also receiving interest from Virginia, East Carolina and Richmond.
